Sermons
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." — Romans 10:17
At Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church, the proclamation of God's Word stands at the heart of our life together. Each Sunday, our pastors preach from the appointed lectionary readings, opening the Holy Scriptures so that Christ may be known in the breaking of His Word, just as He was known to the disciples on the road to Emmaus in the breaking of the bread.

Below you will find recordings and texts from recent sermons preached at Emmaus. Whether you missed a Sunday, wish to revisit a sermon for further meditation, or are simply curious about what is preached at our congregation, we invite you to listen and be strengthened in the faith.
Our sermons are grounded in the historic lectionary of the Church and are shaped by the Lutheran confessional tradition. They proclaim the Law of God in its full severity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its full sweetness -- the good news that, for the sake of Christ crucified and risen, your sins are forgiven.
Sermons are added regularly. If you have difficulty accessing any recordings or would like a copy of a particular sermon, please contact the church office.
